Day 1 Discomfort to Comfort

I’ve always hated the phrase “Don’t get comfortable”. Why would we warn someone against comfort? Comfort is a clear indicator that we are right where we need to be in any given moment.

Discomfort on the other hand clearly a call to attention. To slow down take time to recognize that something is off and that an opportunity to reposition ourselves has presented itself. Discomfort makes aware, alerts us to the fact that a certain situation or thought process is causing harm to our well being. This is often when we begin to panic and dig our heels deeper into this place of discomfort. We allow it to consume every part of who we are, rather than taking a moment to breathe and ask ourselves what this discomfort is signaling? Where could these feelings be guiding us?

It can be something as small as mosquito bites when sitting outside signaling to us plain and simple it’s time to pick up and move indoors. Or on a larger scale a high stress job signaling it may be time to consider a career change. Or even the pain of heartbreak signaling it’s time to position ourselves in a place to receive joy and healing.

List 3 Situations that you have experienced, be it small or large scale that you chose to move from discomfort to comfort.
